Christian Life Church is a rapidly growing church based in the centre of Chesterfield. We are committed to seeing people enter into and relentlessly pursue a personal relationship with God. We believe that in order for this God given mandate to progress we need a larger premises to expand into – we are bursting at the seams on a Sunday morning at present! And the evenings are getting pretty full. This is not a nice to have option but a critical component in our mission to continue to see the God’s grace at work in Chesterfield. Reach Trust seeks to work with the most disadvantaged within Chesterfield to raise aspirations, prosperity, educational engagement, and develop healthy lifestyles. Much of the activity is based within Chesterfield schools where we focus on the skills and character needed for pupils to positively impact their own lives, families and schools. Chesterfield is a former industrial & mining town in Derbyshire. It’s rapidly moving from its declining industrial heritage to a more progressive skills based economy. This progress which is welcome and necessary is not universal and some areas significantly lag behind others in recovering from the decline in mining, manufacturing and heavy engineering. The town of around 120,000 is largely unchurched (c95%).
